Description

'This film will amuse you. It offers a different perspective on the world`s biggest annual sporting event.' Steve Jones

'DeTour de France is an enjoyable alternative to the usual hard-edged documentaries. This film is laced with amusing to camera commentary by the trio and features numerous and surprising interviews with Lance Armstrong, Ron Howard (In Paris filming The Da Vinci Code) and Sheryl Crow.' Peter Krausz

Detour De France is a whacky behind the scenes documentary that follows the 2005 Tour De France through the eyes of three Australians; John Trevorrow, Denis Donoghue and Bill Schwarzenberg. John is a journalist and ex Pro-Australian rider, Denis is a radio journalist and Bill is just there to have a good time. Ironically, he ends up catching some of the best interviews of the film.
Featuring interviews with cycling luminaries such as Lance Armstrong and Bernard Hinault, great insights from Phil Liggett, Robbie McEwan, Cadal Evans and Stuart O'Grady, plus appearances by assorted celebrities including US film director Ron Howard and well-known singer/songwriter Sheryl Crow, DeTour de France provides an irrevelant look into cycling's biggest media event.
