The Lion's Last Roar!
The 2004 Paris-Roubaix was special. It saw one generation of Classics' stars swept away by a wave of aggressive young guns who refused to be cowed by big names and even bigger reputations. Enjoy the superb action as the battle for victory sees Museeuw, Cancellara, Tristan Hoffman (CSC), Magnus Backstedt and Roger Hammond (Mr Bookmaker.com-Palmans) all with a chance in the final break. Meseeuw's puncture was agonising, but it was Backstedt who took the crown, the first Swede to do so. Britain's Roger Hammond took a brilliant third place and was so impressive that he booked his slot on Lance Arnstrong's "Discovery" team for next year.
Watch as three totally new faces in classics cycling put an end to the reign of giants of the cobbles as well as "Lion of Flanders" Johan Museeuw, not to mention his bete noire, Classics genius Peter Van Petegem. All the vital moves in the mud and dust in cycling's toughest one-day race are featured, as well as all the crashes, punctures and pile-ups that truly mattered in the terrifyingly unpredictable world of Roubaix's cobbles. You'll also witness the tears that Museeuw shed in his last ever major Classic.
